Welcome to Ladies 1st Driving School, based in Grahamstown (Makhanda), Eastern Cape.
By booking or attending driving lessons with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Lesson Bookings & Scheduling

• All lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.

• Bookings are only confirmed once payment or proof of payment has been received.

• Cancellations or rescheduling must be done at least 24 hours before your lesson.

  • Lessons cancelled late will be charged in full.

• Please arrive on time — late arrivals will shorten your lesson.

• The instructor will wait up to 15 minutes before the lesson is marked as a “no show.”

2. Payments & Fees

• Lesson fees are payable before or on the day of the lesson.

• Package deals must be used within 4 months of purchase, unless otherwise agreed.

• Prices are subject to change without notice; however, confirmed and paid bookings will be honored.

• No refunds for lessons already completed.

3. Driving Tests

• Vehicle hire for driving tests is charged separately.

• Test vehicle hire must be paid before the test date.

• The instructor reserves the right to cancel a test booking if the student is not test-ready or unsafe to drive.

• Travel or booking assistance for testing outside Grahamstown may incur an additional fee.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

• Lessons cancelled less than 24 hours in advance are non-refundable.

• In emergencies (e.g. illness, accidents), exceptions may be made at the instructor’s discretion.

• Refunds on prepaid packages will be adjusted for lessons already taken and may include an admin fee.

5. Student Responsibilities

• Students must hold a valid Learner’s Licence and bring it to every lesson.

• Students must obey all traffic laws and follow instructor guidance.

• Mobile phone use during lessons is not permitted.

• Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited inside the driving school vehicle.

• Any damage to the vehicle caused by intentional misconduct or negligence may be charged to the student.

6. Instructor Rights

• The instructor may terminate a lesson immediately if a student is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or behaving irresponsibly.

• Lessons may be rescheduled due to bad weather, vehicle maintenance, or unforeseen circumstances — no penalties apply in such cases.

7. Liability

• While every effort is made to ensure student safety, Ladies 1st Driving School cannot be held responsible for any injuries, loss, or damage during lessons or while using the school vehicle.

• The school vehicle is insured for instructional use.

8. Confidentiality & Conduct

• All personal information provided will remain strictly confidential and used only for administrative purposes.

• Respect and professionalism are expected from both student and instructor at all times.
